Colombo’s oldest and largest public park, originally named Victoria Park but renamed in 1958 after Queen Viharamahadevi, mother of King Dutugamunu. This lush green oasis features well-maintained gardens, towering trees, colorful flower beds, and a massive golden Buddha statue. Perfect for families with a dedicated children’s play area, horse riding, mini train rides, and tranquil walking paths. Following extensive renovations for the 2013 Commonwealth meeting, the park now features beautiful paved pathways and perfectly groomed landscapes.
